hey im thinking about going with a 2 1/2 -4 drop or 3 1/2 -5 drop in back.on my 68

shortbed c-10.dont know if im going to run 18's or 20's..can you post some photos..im going to run stock inner fender walls.....im just looking for some ideas for next spring..thanks

3 inch belltech spindles and 96 ford taurus rear station wagon springs.
rear dropped 4.5-5 18 inch coy wheels. I'd like to go another inch but this was a quicky deal to get the truck rolling lower.

after an Early Classic enterprises 3 1/2 - 4 drop (2 1/2 drop spindles, 1" drop coil and shocks up front, 4" drop coil in rear with shocks, super trak bar and shock relocators. Actual drop in rear ended up being 5".

You only asked for 2.5/4 and 3.5/5, but you might as well check out all your options...

I am looking at a 3.5/4 or a 5" rear drop. I would like to get responce from those that dropped the rear 5", did you have to notch the frame and if not how much clearance from the top of the axle to the frame. In my measuring I come up that a 4" will give my 2 3/4" gap between the axle and the frame.

No notch required for a 5" or a 6" drop; unless you will be doing heavier than normal hauling/towing.

With a 6" drop I had 2" between the fram and the top of the axle to the 4" between the top of the pumpkin and the bottom of the bed; IIRC. Have only bottomed out once... and I was pushing it down the road pretty good. I'll recheck my measurements tonight.

My 71 before and after. Brothers performance package. 2" drop spindles 2" drop springs up front, out back 4" drop springs plus 2" blocks, sway bars, performance shocks, and sway bars all around.

Here are a couple of my before and after shots. I lowered it just last week. 2.5" drop spindles and 1" lowering springs with 4" rear drop springs.
